{"id":49014,"date":"2019-04-10T16:00:02","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T14:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/openexpoeurope.com\/?p=49014"},"modified":"2019-04-09T19:57:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-09T17:57:26","slug":"how-will-the-future-of-travis-ci-after-being-acquired-by-idera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/openexpoeurope.com\/en\/how-will-the-future-of-travis-ci-after-being-acquired-by-idera\/","title":{"rendered":"How will the future of Travis CI after being acquired by Idera?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The well-known open source continuous integration services company, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/travis-ci.org\/\">Travis CI<\/a><\/strong>, was acquired earlier this year by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idera.com\/\"><strong>Idera, Inc.<\/strong><\/a>, a US company that provides application and systems management software for servers of the 2 most used operating systems worldwide: Microsoft Windows and Linux.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>This acquisition according to both companies, will benefit the two parties as the boom of other services similar to those offered by Travis CI was taking away the market, while Idera, intends to enter the DevOps business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Konstantin Haase, founder of Travis CI<\/strong>, commented in his blog that due to his participation in the open source community and his current acquisition by Idera, &#8220;we now offer improved features, performance and support for projects and equipment of all sizes&#8221;.
