{"id":8146,"date":"2016-05-10T09:00:03","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T07:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/openexpoeurope.com\/?p=8146"},"modified":"2016-05-10T09:00:03","modified_gmt":"2016-05-10T07:00:03","slug":"tecnologias-streaming-apache-flink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/openexpoeurope.com\/es\/tecnologias-streaming-apache-flink\/","title":{"rendered":"El futuro de las tecnolog\u00edas de streaming: APACHE FLINK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hist\u00f3ricamente, la mayor\u00eda de las empresas que generaban muchos datos ten\u00edan que\u00a0descartarlos, puesto que almacenarlos era costoso y procesarlos algo impensable. Esta\u00a0situaci\u00f3n cambi\u00f3 con la aparici\u00f3n de las primeras tecnolog\u00edas de almacenamiento Big Data\u00a0como Hadoop y Cassandra. Hoy en d\u00eda es posible almacenarlos, pero procesarlos continua\u00a0siendo una tarea dif\u00edcil, as\u00ed que empezaron a surgir otras tecnolog\u00edas del ecosistema que\u00a0ayudaban en esta labor: Pig, Hive y, sobre todo, Spark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una vez resuelto el problema del procesamiento las empresas se dieron cuenta de que la causa de almacenar tanta cantidad de datos era porque los recib\u00edan continuamente en flujos y\u00a0que el dato iba perdiendo valor seg\u00fan iba pasando el tiempo, por lo que surgieron las\u00a0soluciones de \u201cstreaming\u201d, principalmente Spark Streaming y Storm, y \u00faltimamente ha\u00a0aparecido en escena nuestro protagonista: Apache Flink.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Estos frameworks para el procesamiento de streams deb\u00edan dar respuesta a nuevos problemas\u00a0que surg\u00edan y que hasta ahora (procesado en batch) no supon\u00edan ning\u00fan trastorno:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Las transformaciones y el procesamiento de los datos cuando se encadenan tienen que\u00a0tener en cuenta que estos llegar\u00e1n indefinidamente, es decir, no se puede esperar leer\u00a0todas las l\u00edneas para despu\u00e9s trocear las palabras y contarlas (por utilizar el ejemplo\u00a0t\u00edpico).<\/li>\n<li>En caso de indisponibilidad de nuestro servicio, tenemos que disponer de mecanismos\u00a0para no perder ning\u00fan dato del flujo. Ahora es necesario separar la parte de adquisici\u00f3n\u00a0de la de procesamiento y es importante dedicarle especial atenci\u00f3n durante el dise\u00f1o de la\u00a0plataforma.<\/li>\n<li>Aparecen los requisitos de tiempo de procesamiento, nuestro programa tiene que ser\u00a0capaz de asegurar cu\u00e1l es el tiempo m\u00e1ximo en el que va a devolver un dato, adem\u00e1s,\u00a0relacionado con el punto anterior, aparece el efecto de backpressure, es decir, nuestra\u00a0cadena de procesamiento tiene que ser capaz de procesar los datos a suficiente velocidad\u00a0para no saturar las primeras etapas de la cadena de procesamiento.<\/li>\n<li>En caso de fallo en alguno de los nodos, nuestro framework tiene que asegurarnos que\u00a0cada evento se procesa siempre y solo una vez (exactly once). Este requisito implica\u00a0habitualmente costosos mecanismos de sincronizaci\u00f3n y control de errores. Aunque no es\u00a0necesario para todas las aplicaciones, para alg\u00fan tipo de implementaciones puede\u00a0suponer un grave problema, por ejemplo, una alarma que llega duplicada o, lo que es\u00a0peor, una alarma que no se registra!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spark Streaming y Storm han dado soluci\u00f3n a estos problemas (al menos a la gran parte), aunque la implementaci\u00f3n de Flink parece que ha sido la que mejor ha resuelto estos\u00a0problemas sin perder capacidad y velocidad de procesamiento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin duda, la gran sorpresa de Flink es su API (Application Programming Interface) para el\u00a0manejo de eventos temporales: muy f\u00e1cil de entender y a la vez muy potente. Tiene integrado\u00a0en el lenguaje aspectos como las ventanas deslizantes, triggers o ventanas \u201cpor clave\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n maneja nativamente temas como qu\u00e9 tiempo de referencia se debe utilizar\u00a0para ordenar los eventos: \u00bfTiempo en que se gener\u00f3 el evento? \u00bfCu\u00e1ndo se recibi\u00f3? o\u00a0\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo se est\u00e1 procesando?
