Es contrastable la cada vez mayor presencia de tecnolog\u00eda libres y abiertas en servidores empresariales. Pero \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no es paralelo este \u00e9xito en la migraci\u00f3n de puestos de escritorio?<\/p>\n

\"Formaci\u00f3n<\/p>\n

En cuanto a servicios, el Software Libre (SwL<\/strong>) dispone de un s\u00f3lido status<\/em> en m\u00faltiples apartados, ofreciendo soluciones seguras, estables e independientes de proveedores. Migrar servicios a\u00f1ade a estos obvios beneficios, un ventajoso saldo econ\u00f3mico y, no menos importante, un enorme grado de transparencia del proceso<\/strong>. Cierto, migrar servicios apenas es perceptible por el personal de la empresa. Seguir\u00e1 disfrutando de su correo-e o una red optimizada sin advertir que sus servidores han pasado a basarse en SwL, m\u00e1s bien al contrario, si advirtiera algo ser\u00eda una mejor\u00eda general.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, en el escritorio la migraci\u00f3n no es transparente<\/strong>, el personal tendr\u00e1 que enfrentarse a un nuevo entorno. Podr\u00e1 ser m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil, directo y evidente que el anterior, pero tendr\u00e1 que enfrentarse a un cambio. Y cualquier cambio, por su naturaleza, genera un rechazo inicial. Es, por tanto, esencial incidir en este obst\u00e1culo para minimizar sus efectos en todo el proceso y, as\u00ed, garantizar el \u00e9xito de la migraci\u00f3n de los entornos de trabajo en donde sea posible hacerlo.<\/p>\n

He aqu\u00ed en donde entra en juego la formaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Hay que concienciar al personal de las bondades del cambio y capacitarlo para exprimir las cualidades del nuevo entorno. \u00bfAcaso no hemos visto casos de migraci\u00f3n entre distintas versiones de software privativo en los que no se ha contado ni siquiera con la opini\u00f3n del personal afectado y menos a\u00fan ofrecido una m\u00ednima formaci\u00f3n? Parece l\u00f3gico que parte del ahorro<\/strong> que producir\u00e1 el proceso migratorio, al menos a medio plazo, se destine a reducir los efectos de la migraci\u00f3n del entorno de trabajo.<\/p>\n

Es m\u00e1s, servir\u00e1 para capacitar s\u00f3lidamente en tareas diarias que no siempre han sido cubiertas con suficiente destreza t\u00e9cnica. Resulta muy f\u00e1cil encontrarnos a personas trabajando todo el d\u00eda delante de un ordenador que son ineficaces buscando informaci\u00f3n, lentas en la navegaci\u00f3n, desconocen las m\u00ednimas reglas de netiqueta<\/a>, crean contrase\u00f1as inseguras y, por supuesto, son incapaces de firmar digitalmente un documento.<\/p>\n

Por tanto, salvando los l\u00f3gicos atascos que provoca el software privativo en cuanto a dependencia por sus formatos cerrados y aplicaciones cautivas que se consideran cruciales para el correcto funcionamiento de la empresa, la formaci\u00f3n capacitar\u00e1 al personal de la empresa que decida migrar a SwL incrementando adem\u00e1s notablemente su productividad.<\/p>\n
