Biography
Roberto Gómez-Espinosa holds an Industrial Automation Engineering degree from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and several certificates in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies like: «Self-Driving Car Engineer by Udacity», «Deep Learning Specialization by deeplearning.ai», «Deep Learning NanoDegree by Udacity», «Professional Program Certificate in Data Science by Microsoft», “Machine Learning Specialization by the University of Washington,” «Big Data Specialization by University of California San Diego» , “Machine Learning by Stanford Online University”.
He started his R&D activities in 1998 at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) (http://www.csic.es). After that, he worked 2001-2009 at Telefónica R&D ( http://www.tid.es/ ) participating in different R&D projects.
Since 2012, he is CTO at hi-iberia.es. He oversees emerging technologies and defines technical strategies for the company. Currently, his department is developing and implementing new AI technologies like Deep Learning in the areas of Security, Education, eHealth, and Retail.
