Biography
Cities and blockchain are Gildo Seisdedos’s passion. As a professor at IE Business School, he combines teaching, research and consulting activities in the fields of blockchain4cities, urban governance, urban digital transformation, urban services 4.0. and smart cities. The success of his book “How to Manage Twenty-first Century Cities”, published by Prentice Hall, has impacted the way cities deal with the new competitive environment, advocating city development strategy approach, which relates traditional planning with strategic urban planning, smart city and blockchain.
Specialized in urban governance, blockchain4cities, smart cities and urban cryptoeconomics, Professor Seisdedos holds a PhD on urban economics and a law degree on urbanism. He is co-founder of blockchain4cities, a community specialized on the application of blockchain for urban governance and serves at Blockchain Spain as node for smart city initiative.
