After the success of 2016, 2017 and 2018 with more than 200 participants, +10.000 votes in +8 categories, the Open Awards are back!
The 4th edition of the most important awards in our sector with the objective to publicly recognize companies, administrations, personalities and communities that create, support and promote Open IT Innovation.
The Open Awards 2019 recognize and reward the Open IT Innovation projects and initiatives that have stood out the most during last 12 months. They also promote the notoriety of the companies, projects and administrations participating in the awards and value the work carried out by all of them.

The OpenExpo Europe organisation team along with the jury will award a special recognition to Open IT Innovation projects and people that have played an important role in the sector, due to their involvement and commitment in this field.
These prizes will be awarded directly by the OpenExpo Europe team and the jury:

HOW DOES IT WORK
- Registration period – From May 6 to May 23
You can register in the category that best defines your products or services.
- Voting period – From May 27 to June 11
During this period popular votes are open to all registered companies. Encourage your colleagues, followers and contacts to vote for you, so that you get to be in the “top three” of your category
- Deliberation Period – From June 12 to June 19
On June 11th the popular voting period closes and the jury will have 1 week for the final decision.
- Meeting with the jury – June 20th
On the day of the Gala, before the awards ceremony, the jury will hold its final meeting, in which the winners of the contest will be determined.
- Open Awards Gala – June 20th
The winners of each category will be announced during this session. They will be able to present their project to the OpenExpo Europe 2019 audience and to the jury on June 20th via an *Elevator pitch.
*Elevator pitch: One-minute presentation to the audience and jury without audiovisual support.
* The same company, administration or community can be presented in a maximum of 3 different categories.
* If a category does not receive more than 5 candidatures, it will be deserted.

- Promotion of the winners in different media channels
- Promotion of the winners in OpenExpo Europe social media channels and external communications
