Biography
Antonio Hurtado leads the Artificial Intelligence team across Nielsen Connect. He has more than 12 years of experience in AI focused on Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing.
Most recently, his team is working on Deep Learning applied to pattern recognition over text and images. In addition, his team is applying Deep Learning and Machine learning to generate predictive models for analytics.
Antonio previously worked on Computational Algebraic models as a researcher in the department of Modelling, Biomechanical and Advanced Visualization of the University of Valladolid, to detect defects in heritage buildings by using 3D Laser information.
Later, he developed computer vision algorithms based in Pattern Matching to find objects over million of images, where scalability and response of the system is key. In addition he has 4 patents in Computer Vision and AI, specifically about data ingestion for AI and processes to extract automatically information for product codification. He is an active researcher and has presented in several Computational Algebra and Computer Vision conferences.
His background is in Computer Science with a strong focus on Research and Development. He obtained his Degree by the University of Valladolid in Spain and is PMP / Scrum master certified.
