Biography

Jorge is the Global Java Community Lead in Accenture, and the Custom Engineering, Architecture and DevOps Lead in Accenture’s Spain Advanced Technology Center.

In these roles, he drives custom engineering agenda – including Java, JavaScript, C/C++ and dynamic/functional languages – leveraging open source products and tools, lightweight architectures, microservices, containerization, Agile and DevOps practices. In terms of community development, he leads initiatives globally and locally to foster our capabilities including: delivery innovation, asset research and development, tooling research and development, methodology, architecture reference models, training and certification programs, as well as alliances with strategic partners and software vendors.

He is an Accenture Certified Senior Technology Architect and a Certified Digital Architect, as well as an Oracle Certified Java Programmer.

Jorge dedicates a portion of his time in various architectural and management roles, supporting our clients through services as the Accenture DevOps Automation Services (MyDAS), Accenture Technology Architecture Services (TASK) and the Accenture Discovery and Diagnostic Services (ADD). He also participates in proposals, orals and supports projects in their adoption of cutting edge technologies and architectures.

He is an SME in architecture, cloud, Java, Agile and DevOps matters that frequently writes and speaks about architecture, software development, quality and testing topics – internally in Accenture through blogs and webinars, as well as publicly through his blog (http://deors.wordpress.com), and in conferences like JavaOne, OpenSlava and OpenSouthCode. He is also one of the coordinators of Málaga JUG (https://www.meetup.com/es-ES/MalagaJUG/) and Málaga Scala Developers (https://www.meetup.com/es-ES/Malaga-Scala/) meetups.
