Is Blockchain the missing piece for financial inclusion?

About 2 billion people around the world do not have access to financial services, that is, 30% of the world’s population. The Blockchain technology has the potential to help reduce this figure by allowing decentralized alternatives of exchange of value to which everyone can access as equals. Free saving accounts, loans from peers and P2P remittances are some of the financial services allowed by Blockchain. But, besides all the benefits, the Blockchain technology has not been globally adopted yet, why? What is missing?
